Josiah Bancroft on "The Books of Babel"

We are delighted to welcome Josiah Bancroft for discussion of his fantasy series, The Books of Babel.  The series tells the story of Thomas Senlin, "mild-mannered headmaster of a village school"  to find his wife, who disappeared on the couple's honeymoon visit to the Tower of Babel, "a world of geniuses and tyrants, of airships and steam engines, of unusual animals and mysterious machines."

Praise for The Books of Babel:
"Bancroft succeeds amazingly in creating a baffling world that offers little tenderness or hope, but in which the pursuit of instinct and love, dedication and shared sacrifice can overcome barriers. If he sustains the tone of quirky menace in his planned sequel, the reader will find much to applaud."-- Publishers Weekly, starred review
"Bancroft's world continues to teem with explosive energy, and he ranges ably from the transcendent to the vicious in an instant . . . . This volume not only matches but adds to the notable achievements of the first."-- Publishers Weekly, starred review
